The Rockford Marching Band’s 2022 show is entitled “Aurora Awakes” and is based on the story of Sleeping Beauty. The show includes selections from the original Sleeping Beauty film as well as symphonies, fanfares, and more modern pieces.
The stands were full of support at the Friends and Family Show on September 10 where the band debuted their new, season-specific uniforms. The Rockford Band also hosted 23 talented bands at their 39th annual Rockford Marching Invitational on September 17, which was a success thanks to generous volunteers.
Their season plans include attending Bands of America Regional competition in Ohio on Saturday, September 24 as well as local competition at MCBA Invitationals, State Finals performance in Detroit, and the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena this January.
